By Riz Goodman

Stock market is a great way to make money however not a lot of people have been able to play the game right. The reason is that most investors never have the game right and they will always plunge into the market without understanding how the stock market works.

There a few places from where you can actually get the real knowledge about the stock basics as well as the stock market terminology. If you are looking at online place then the best place to start are the stock exchanges site of NYSE, NASDAQ and FTSE. These have ample of terms and terminology apart from the fact that they have a nice introduction to the way the market works.

Stock market games and financial magazines is another way to provide you with decent amount of insight into the working of the financial industry including stock market.

Futures and options should not be traded initially. Get your hands dirty with stocks initially. These are very high risk products and chances are that you will burn your cash in little time. That is why it is better to wait and watch and learn the game.

After a few weeks of understanding the next best thing is to open up an account with an online share broker and use that account to buy a first few stocks. Never buy high number of shares but small amounts to begin with.

Stock Market is a risk place so you should be well prepared. In that preparation make sure that you have the risk taking ability. The stock market is not for the faint heart - 23212

The Best Software for Becoming Debt Free

By Sean Payne

If you're stuck with loads of debt, you may have noticed that many of those who get out of debt tend to use some kind of financial software. There's a good reason for them to do so: It works like crazy!

A wise man will tell you that "success leaves clues". What this means is that people who have experienced success in getting out of debt have used specific techniques and methods to get out of debt, and that if you do the same things they've some, you'll get out of debt as well.

One of the things that people who get out of debt have usually done is to make a debt payoff plan, and then to work that plan. If you've created a plan to get out of debt, the right software will help you stick to your plan.

When it comes to getting out of debt, my favorite software is budgeting software. My personal favorite budgeting software is called "You Need A Budget". This is an Excel spreadsheet program that is 100% created to help you budget your money and get out of debt. I credit all of my success with getting out of debt to the fact that I use my budgeting spreadsheet program.

There are plenty of other excellent budgeting software programs. One of the "big daddies" of budgeting is called Mvelopes Personal, which is a web-based budgeting program that lets you work with your budget from almost anywhere that has an Internet connection. Mvelopes also looks at your bank accounts to automatically enter transactions into your budget.

One free budgeting program is Mint. Its also a web-based budgeting system, but it doesn't cost anything to use. One unique feature of Mint is that it compares the rates you're paying on your debt to offers from credit card companies. If it finds a better rate for you, it will let you know, and it could end up saving you hundreds of dollars while you're working to pay off your debt. Similarly, if it finds a bank account that pays a higher interest rate than yours, it will let you know, giving you the potential of earning much more money on your savings.

In addition to budgeting programs, there are plenty of other debt reduction software programs that will help you follow your plan for getting out of debt.

Intuit's Quicken and Microsoft's Money are both programs that can help you so create a budget and manage the rest of your finances. Both of these programs have related capabilities, so whichever one you decide to use, they'll both do about the same thing. One of the complaints I have about these two programs is that they do too much. They have so many features that you will probably be distracted from your plan to get out of debt.

My advice to you is to stay with a simple budgeting software program. The right budgeting program will let you track your debts, expenses, and income. Don't make the error of using a complicated financial program that has too many bells and whistles. Even a simple spreadsheet can help you manage your money, budget I recommend that you use an established budgeting system that has a history of getting people out of debt.

No matter what software you use to help you to get out of debt, begin today. Make sure that you use the same software until you're totally out of debt. If you're consistent in using your software, every day or every week, it will help you to quickly get out of debt. - 23212

The Bill Collector Letter That Shuts Them Up

By Sean Payne

Do you remember the feeling you get when a letter from a bill collector shows up in the mail? The queasy feeling you get in your guts when you're told that you owe money that you are unable to repay? And later on, when the phone calls and letters hound you for money that you don't have?

Now is the time to turn the tables on those debt-collecting predators. It's time to know your rights and to use them.

A Federal law known as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (also known as the FDCPA) tells you exactly what a debt collector can and can't do to collect a debt from you. The FDCPA puts hard limits on exactly how a debt collector can contact you.

An example of what a debt collector can't do is to call you at work, unless they're doing it to find out a telephone number to call you at your house. They're also not allowed to inform other people, such as your employer, about any debts that you owe.

Also, debt collectors can't call you or continue to contact you if you tell them that they aren't to do so anymore. That's what we're going to learn to do.

The magic letter that sends bill collectors running consists of two things:

The first is your identifying information. This consists of your name, your address, any debt account numbers for the debt that they're trying to collect, and any other info they may need to positively identify you as the debt account holder.

The second part is to let them know that you want them to stop communicating with you, period.

These two things are all that the FDCPA requires that you do to keep the debt collector from harassing you or contacting you in the future. The only correspondence that the debt collector can send you in the future is a letter that says they will cease contacting you, and whether they're going to pursue any legal action to collect on the debt.

When you send this letter, it's always good to send it by certified mail with a delivery receipt requested. The delivery receipt lets you know that the debt collector actually received the letter. Make sure that you keep this receipt in case you ever have to prove that they received the letter.

According to the FDCPA, if the bill collector contacts you in the future in violation of the law, you have the right to report the bill collector to the FTC. The FTC is the Federal Agency that enforces the FDCPA. Once you have notified the FTC of the bill collector's violation of the law, they can pursue legal action against the bill collector.

Be aware that even after you notify the bill collector of your wish not to be contacted, they still have the option of pursuing legal action against you. This letter is only intended to shield you from being harassed by bill collectors. It cannot protect you against a lawsuit filed by the bill collectors in an attempt to collect on a debt. - 23212
